Viscosity of macromolecules with complex architecture

It is well-known that the architecture of macromolecules plays an important role in hydrodynamics and viscosity its semi-diluted solutions. However, systematic study rheology with complex topology, such as microgels, remains a difficult task. In this work, we use computer simulations methods non-equilibrium molecular dynamics to viscous properties randomly cross-linked microgels compare it multiple reference systems (linear chains, 10-arm star polymers hard spheres). We show microgel cross-linking density and, thus, particle shape, crucial shear viscosity. Also, contrast simpler polymer systems, dispersions good solvent much less thinning.
